Madawaska, Maine- September 15, 2009

Hi Everyone,

     We have had quite a week, and are like two kids in a toy store most of the time.  We can’t wait to see what lies ahead because we have been surprised at every turn by the beauty, and the incredible buildings here in Canada.   We left Sault Ste. Marie and headed into Canada to have the Coolant Reservoir replaced at the local Freightliner dealership, and spent most of the day as it was being serviced and repaired.  The following day on Wednesday, we headed east on the Trans-Canadian Highway.  We pulled into Deux Rivieres, at about 7pm into an RV park on the Ottawa River.  The park is a haven for hunters and fishers.   We had a chance to talk to the locals, and got to know a few people and got recommendations for the drive the following day.

Hi everyone,   

Time to post

Well as I sit here plugging away to keep all of you informed I am going through the rememberance of the last four days.  It has been a very special four days for both of us, particularly NanCarrol, as she has wandered the streets where she lived as a child.  I left off on the last posting with our location on the side of the road on Lake Michigan between Manistique and Thompson.   We spent two nights there enjoying the beauty of the lake and I managed a swim before we left.  The water is pretty cold, but was nice once I was in.

Manistique, Michigan- Sept 3, 2009

Hi everyone,

     Since our last posting we have had a very full three days.   As we traveled East on the Highway 17, the trans-canadian Highway through Ontario, the time began to grow late and we started to look for a place to park on Aug. 30th.  We pulled into White River Provincial Park and I asked the young lady if she had room for us.  She said that they had lots of room and would put us in their biggest site.
